I recently experienced a barrage of insults on social media from an angry group of far-left-wing White women. Women of this caliber lack the prerequisite characteristics to lead a movement that does not make as many friends as enemies. The concepts suffer well, and to go with grace is lost. Many left-wing feminists fight with manipulation and force. Ironically, they embody everything they accuse men of and despise.
One of the manipulative tactics extreme feminists use is shame. The mob-like culture of the feminist movement leaves little time to reflect and consider one’s ideas. The expectation is that left-wing women know best are the most educated and progressive. Women who fail to fall in line face ridicule and are labeled ignorant. They are said to be under the control of a patriarchal society that controls women’s minds. Rarely is it considered that a woman has a different opinion equally valuable.
Men are shamed for simply questioning the methods and conclusions women draw about the nature of the male-female conflict. As to be expected, men want to know how equality will be achieved when what satisfies many feminists is male subservience and men rejecting themselves. Masculinity is an inheritance, and although not all men naturally inherit masculinity, it is there for the taking. Telling a woman she could not wear heels, show any skin, or feel sexy and labeling such displays toxic may make her think she is being robbed of something or, ironically, oppressed 🤔 .
When men apply analysis to any aspect of the feminist agenda, they are labeled misogynist, chauvinist, and whatever word is created to describe men opposing women. The barrage of insults are tactical; if one has to play into victimhood and walk a fine line of political correctness, one is rendered powerless. The strategy has worked well on many men and has forced them into believing they must have blind and unquestioned faith in women to be one of the good guys.
As a result of the current climate, women can expose men for alleged misconduct, usually of a sexual nature. The factuality of these situations isn’t that important. To raise doubt and ruin a guy’s social standing often suffices. Men who have been accused of sexual misconduct have been subject to public ridicule when evidence is non-existent, or the statute of limitations has passed. The lack of a remedy does not stop accusations from functioning as smear campaigns that derail legacies. Some say it’s telling one’s truth, but without evidence, no one ever knows if it’s one’s truth or one’s lie.
A toxic culture of “believe her” can lead to a man’s social and financial ruin and undue stress on families. Accusations of abuse in ambiguous situations can later be proven false, as seen in the Amber Heard trial. Prominent voices in the feminist movement did not condemn her and do not condemn other women like her that cry wolf. Had Johny Depp been convicted on all charges, think pieces galore would have filled the web reverberating men’s maltreatment of women.
Beyond the hypocrisy and self-righteousness of extreme feminists, this blog aims to address the peculiarities that place Black men in women amid a war between White women against White men. Black men have never had the power or status to put Black women in subordinate situations systematically. Even Black men who did reach a little prestige and power were always psychologically castrated by their White counterparts, undermining any attempts to reign supreme.
Unlike White women, Black women have always had to work, and Black women as Stepford’s wives were never commonplace. Black women often had to focus on keeping their men alive and sometimes at home. Black men struggled to provide and to hold onto whatever semblance of pride Whites hadn’t stripped away through racism. Black men and women have work to do, but it’s not about winning a pissing match. There is no need for a community that struggles for adequate resources and daily confronts racial inequality to think they are stronger apart than together.
If extremist White feminists want to retrieve sperm from sperm banks and raise their children independently to prove to alleged patriarchal terrorists that they are obsolete, so be it. On the other hand, Black folks need to stand back and stand by. Black people who are hell-bent on staying in White folks’ business need to spend a day rewatching classics depicting how hard Blacks had to fight and how hard White men and WOMEN made it for Blacks to survive, and the fight ensues. For Black women and White women to become allies in the feminist movement, we need to establish when Black women became accepted by White women or, at least on a large scale, became amicable.
Crying wolf and putting innocent Black men in prison isn’t ally behavior. Ostracizing the lone Black woman on staff and stereotyping her as aggressive is not ally behavior. Giving bad reviews to exceptional Black female workers to prevent upward mobility in the company is not ally behavior. Being more accepting of the light-skin girl but demonizing and refusing to hire the chocolate girl is not ally behavior. Calling Black girls ghetto who grew up around the corner in the suburbs from you is not ally behavior. And last but not least, calling Black women niggers behind their backs when they land the guy you wanted is not ally behavior.
Never in history have Black women and White women been allies. For most of the record, White women have despised Black women and have been equally racist as White males. The oppression White women have suffered at the hands of White men is undeniable, but to portray White women as benevolent beings who solely want a chance to live on their terms is bullshit. When given power and privilege, White women are not fairer and subscribe to the same White supremacist ideals that have allowed them to be the most unrestricted women on earth. Simply put, any Black women that think these new-age radical White feminists are fighting the same battle are delusional. Argue with your mammy!
